  You guessed right, this one deals with whatever I remembered from my life, or rather my lives:
one after I flew the coop and came to enjoy the capitalist life, the other before, lived under the dark  terror of Communism.
You see, before living in the State for some twenty-six  years, I used to live in Romania, where I started my life under very
 promising circumstances and ended as a traitor.  
A traitor I became after enduring thirty three years of communism, with all the bad things associated with it. Imagine not

   Even when you read through this book, is hard to believe that those things happened, but I am here to tell you that they 
did happen and I was one of the lucky ones getting out unscathed.
   Thanks God, after fifteen years of not being able to get a visa, the regime made a mistake and granted us one. As soon 
a we entered the rotten capitalist world, we lost our compasses and instead of going back East, we flew West. Where, as 
they say, the dogs carry donuts as tails, 
   As a revenge for my defecting, the communists declared me a "traitor of motherland", but I lived with this stigma and finally, 
had the last laugh. This was the day the communist regime collapsed.

 I was very tempted to call this book "IDIOT-PROOF ARITHMETIC", or 
"ARITHMETIC FOR DUMMIES", but then I remembered that there are a lot of books
 "FOR DUMMIES" out there on the market and if I used the same title, someone is going to 
slap a Trade-Mark  infringement on me. So I settled for something less ...scented. 
This Book, is intended to help the kind of people to whom Arithmetic is impenetrable, for those who think
 they have no chance whatsoever on understanding how it works. For people of all ages who did not have 
a chance to understand it on time and now wish they could do something about it.
   Yes, everybody who can tell the difference between three apples and four apples can learn to work with 
numbers and how to add or subtract, multiply...etc. Even the dreaded "Fractions" are easy to assimilate
if one takes the time to understand the basics. In fact, Mathematics is not learned and understood 
because the bases, the bricks forming the postament are missing. Once you know the basics, then you can build,
using just your thinking power. Besides, has a strong European background, and they don't kid themselves in Europe 
when it comes to Arithmetic.
   So, if you want to recall what you learned some years ago in school, or want to recall some of the tricks, or you're
in school right now and struggle to understand let say "the common denominator", this is the book for you.
